Purchase and service terms

These terms govern purchases and use of Domenebutikken's domain services. The separate domain terms form part of the agreement.

1. Contracting party and contact

The service is supplied under the Domenebutikken brand. The legal entity, registration number, business address, email and telephone number must be inserted before launch. The agreement consists of these terms, the domain terms, checkout information and any separate written agreement. Mandatory consumer law prevails.

2. Service

Domenebutikken resells domain registration, renewal, transfer and technical administration through accredited registrars. It is not an ICANN-accredited registrar or registry operator. A search or quote does not reserve a domain; registration completes only when accepted by the registry.

3. Account and authority

Customers must protect credentials and API tokens, have authority to act for the registrant, and keep registrant data accurate. Invalid data or unanswered verification requests may result in rejection, suspension or deletion under applicable registry rules.

4. Price and payment

The total price, taxes and renewal price are shown before ordering. Standard domains use the same stated annual registration and renewal price. Payment must succeed before a paid registrar action. Future prices may change with registry cost, currency or tax changes and will be shown before the next paid action.

5. Delivery and cancellation

Domain registration normally starts immediately after payment. A consumer must expressly request early performance and acknowledge that the cancellation right is lost once the service is fully performed. Until then statutory rights may remain, and proportionate payment may be due for work already supplied. Contract confirmation is provided on a durable medium. The statutory cancellation form is provided where the cancellation right still applies.

6. Renewal and termination

Auto-renew is selected per domain and may be disabled before renewal is submitted. Without renewal, the domain may expire, connected services may stop, and recovery may be time-limited and more expensive.

7. Availability and liability

Domenebutikken will provide the service professionally and correct faults within a reasonable time. Registries, registrars, DNS and payment systems may be temporarily unavailable. Mandatory consumer rights are not limited. Separate liability limits for business customers require Norwegian legal review.

8. Complaints and disputes

Complaints go to the contact address published before launch. Consumers may seek mediation from the Norwegian Consumer Authority. Norwegian law and mandatory venue rules apply.

9. Changes

Terms may change with the service, law or binding registrar and registry rules. Material changes will be notified reasonably unless immediate effect is required. The accepted version is stored with the order.
